Come and join the fun…
Productions are staged in the recently refurbished Dittisham village hall, capable of seating audiences of up to 100 people. We are fortunate to have our own purpose built stage, professional lighting and sound systems. We also benefit from a legacy of professionals with experience in TV and theatre productions who have given great dedication in creating a local theatre group with a fine reputation.
On average we stage 3 productions each year, so demands on time aren’t high and whether involvement is at box office, working the bar, back stage or on stage the audience applause at the end of each performance is extremely gratifyingly. (A licensed bar is usually provided and after performance celebrations at the nearby pubs is part of the tradition – but not compulsory!)
Ditsum Players is a not-for-profit local theatre group. Yes we need to cover our costs and have a little in reserve for the needs of future productions however, our first priority is to entertain our audience, providing a memorable experience – for all the right reasons!
We are always looking to bring in new talent, either through membership as a ‘Friend of Ditsum Players’ or to be actively involved in our productions, ensuring the future of a theatre group first established in 2003.
To that end we invite you join our happy band of enthusiasts. Take a look at the list of activities below. If there are areas that you would like to assist with then please contact our secretary Gail Mosley by email:
in the first instance and a member of Ditsum players will be in touch to follow through with your enquiry.
